На Западе придумали, как вернуть учёных из России к деятельности ЦЕРН, несмотря на санкции

Head of the "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk Called This Scheme Unacceptable

Western countries have decided to allow scientists from Russia to conduct scientific activities at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), despite sanctions. To do this, they came up with a scheme that does not suit the Russian scientific community. We tell you more.

Russians are invited to work at CERN as an international employee of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna. This proposal was rejected by the head of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk.

They proposed that all Russian employees who previously worked at CERN return to their home institutes in Russia and be seconded to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna.

According to him, this is work with double standards. Russian specialists will not agree to this.

Recall that CERN will stop cooperating with 500 scientists from Russia from November 30, 2024. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called such actions unacceptable.
