Mass production of BM-30-D (32V01) "Spitsa" combat modules, equipped with 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannons, AG-30 automatic grenade launchers, and 7.62-mm PKT machine guns, continues at the facilities of the Burevestnik Central Research Institute. Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev revealed the combat potential of the system.
Each module also has a modern sight with thermal and television channels, as well as a laser rangefinder-target designator. A lighter version of the module without the AG-30 grenade launcher is also installed on the K4386 "Typhoon-VDV" (4x4) armored vehicle.
The 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon is capable of confidently penetrating the side armor plates of BMP M2A2 ODS-SA "Bradley", CV90 and 1A3 "Marder" at a distance of up to 1500 m with the use of 3UBR8 "Kerner" armor-piercing discarding sabot projectiles, operating from disguised positions and covering the weakly protected hull behind a "screen" of terrain.
The module can also be used both as a BRDM and as a fire support platform for covering columns.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov will present the latest Skat 350M UAV in Moscow. Visitors will also see the concern's new first-aid kit for the military, which has already received high marks from military personnel.
