Specialists from "RT-Tekhpriemka" have created and released a device for testing the strength of aircraft cables used in lifting equipment. This mandatory cable tensile testing guarantees high product quality.
The new development is capable of replacing imported counterparts. Its main advantage is ease of operation and the ability to test up to four cables simultaneously.
The development allows determining the service life of cables. The machine automatically records the number of repeated bends until complete or partial destruction.
The system also visually registers the number of repeated bends in each test zone. In addition, it provides automatic shutdown of the engine in case of breakage of one of the cables.
In the process of creating the testing unit, materials and parts produced in Russia were used. Modern equipment allows testing cables with a diameter of 2 to 6 millimeters. It is designed for a maximum load of up to 500 kilograms, and the drive drum can rotate at a speed of up to 120 revolutions per minute.
The device is suitable for companies that test cables in accordance with the requirements of GOST 2387 or similar standards.
Rostec has also expanded production for the production of aircraft engines. In Perm, a new building with an area of more than 4300 square meters is being built on the site of the old test building. It will house modern equipment, including stands for adjusting, running-in and preserving units. The workshops will test hydromechanical units for aircraft engines TV7-117ST-01, PS-90A, PD-8 and PD-14.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec had developed radio-absorbing camouflage. They are supplied to the Russian army for heavy flamethrower systems TOS-2 ("Tosochka").
