The presentation of KAMAZ vehicles of the new K5 generation took place at the Gazprom Arena stadium in St. Petersburg. At the truck test drive, you could see the flagship K5 model — KAMAZ-54901 paired with a semi-trailer-9226. In addition, modern K5 KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65951 dump trucks were presented, which are used for transporting bulk construction, industrial and household materials.
The dump trucks are equipped with an advanced economical KAMAZ P6 engine and a mechanical transmission. A distinctive feature of the K5 generation dump trucks is a reinforced frame and drive axles capable of withstanding an axial load of up to 16 tons.
In addition to the flagship models, guests were shown a sports car from the K5 family – KAMAZ-435091.
For the test drive, two K5 series vehicles were available to participants: the KAMAZ-6595, which is a dump truck, and the KAMAZ-54902, which is a new 2024 tractor.
The event was attended by Zenit football players Alexander Erokhin and Dmitry Chistyakov. The test drive made a strong impression on them, wrote Championat.
We were given a ride, shown the minimum speed that the car can develop, maneuvers, how the engine works.
As a reminder, KAMAZ previously showed its most huge Atlant-65 truck. Due to its size, it cannot travel on public roads. The giant dump truck is capable of carrying up to 65 tons of cargo, and the truck itself weighs 95 tons.
