The Russian T-72 tank, which is used on the front lines, remains the greatest tank in the world. This high assessment of the combat vehicle was given by journalist Brandon Weichert in an article for the American publication The National Interest (TNI).
The author compiled a rating of the best tanks used in the modern armed forces of various countries and placed the T-72 in first place.
The T-72 is an affordable machine and relatively easy to operate, which is used in many countries. Russia is capable of mass-producing modern modifications of this tank.
The journalist emphasized that the T-72 allows the Russian military to perform tasks on the front lines, despite drones and other difficulties of the modern battlefield.
Uralvagonzavod stated that the T-72 tank, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023, has not exhausted its modernization potential. It is being improved taking into account combat experience. Batches of T-72B3M regularly leave the Uralvagonzavod assembly line in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the average repair time for damaged Russian Armed Forces equipment has increased significantly. It is restored on average in a day or two from the moment it arrives at the base.
