"T-Bank" Launches "Cyber-Squall" — an AI-Powered Platform to Combat Financial Fraud

"T-Bank" has launched the "Cyber-Squall" project — a platform of special bots to combat fraud in investments and financial pyramids.

The bank's message to RBC notes that the project is based on the company's own developments in the field of artificial intelligence and voice assistants. Its key task is to make fake brokers spend their working time talking to bots that can be mistaken for potential clients interested in investing.

The technology, based on artificial intelligence, will scan the internet space and search for sites advertising pseudo-investments. The ML model of the scanner is trained to identify signs of fake broker sites and financial pyramids on 20 thousand such pages. Among the scanned criteria are the presence of "spare" sites in case the main ones are blocked, the lack of specifics about investments, promises of ultra-high returns, the absence of investment risks, instant payments, and so on.

The scanner will send suspicious pages to T-Bank for additional verification to confirm or deny signs of fraud. Bots will neutralize fake brokers by creating a large number of requests for a free consultation or a callback under the guise of potential victims on sites with obvious signs of fraud, and then answer calls.
