На Восточном и Байконуре готовят к пускам «Ионосферы-М» и «Прогресс МС-29»

Launches of satellites and a space freighter are scheduled for November

Specialists from RSC Energia continue to prepare the next Progress MS-29 space freighter for shipment from Baikonur. It has already undergone vacuum testing in a special chamber.

Automated monitoring of the tightness of compartments and onboard systems passed without comment. The cargo ship was returned to its work site and connected to ground test equipment for further preparation. The Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle is also being assembled for the journey.

Meanwhile, at Vostochny, work continues on the launch program for the Ionosphere-M No. 1 and No. 2 spacecraft. They will monitor space weather, solar and geomagnetic activity as part of the new Ionozond space system, developed by VNIIEM under the order of the Roscosmos State Corporation in the interests of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Roshydromet.

While the spacecraft themselves are undergoing electrical testing and other checks, and the upper stage for them is being fueled, the launch complex is being prepared to receive the launch vehicle. Spaceport specialists are checking the readiness of its systems and units.

Both launches, according to Roscosmos State Corporation, are scheduled for November, but the dates have not yet been announced.
