The "Russian Helicopters" holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has delivered 4 Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK), the state corporation's press service reported.
The rotorcraft are planned to be used for cargo transportation, medical flights, and search and rescue operations.
The versatility and unpretentiousness of Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters allow carriers to solve a wide range of tasks and operate the aircraft in temperatures ranging from +50 to -50 °C. "Eights" are reliable helpers in remote northern regions, where rotorcraft often replace any other mode of transport.
Additional fuel tanks can be installed to increase the flight range. The design of the Mi-8MTV-1 allows for the installation of medical modules.
"Eights" also feature improved lighting equipment, which enhances flight safety. The helicopter can land on unprepared sites.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec presented the new Mi-171A3 in the AURUS configuration.
