Belousov Inspects Infrastructure Facilities of the Northern Fleet

The Russian Northern Fleet is undergoing a planned replacement of third-generation ships with fourth-generation submarines, the Ministry of Defense reported.

On Saturday, October 12, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov inspected the infrastructure facilities of the Northern Fleet.

The commander of the fleet's submarine forces, Vice Admiral Anatoly Kovalenko, reported to Belousov at the base of the Borei and Borei-A nuclear-powered missile submarines on the completion of the reconstruction of the berthing front. Currently, a planned replacement of third-generation ships with fourth-generation submarines is also underway.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 vehicles with "Nakidka" protection kits to the troops. The additional protection includes products for enhancing armor and slat screens.
