AvtoVAZ has started displaying its cars on marketplaces. However, this is not a promising sales channel for the company yet, as Russia is not ready for it, according to Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the concern.
But this is a certain experience - both negative and positive - it is useful to us. Now, for us, it is primarily a promotion channel. It cannot be called cheap. At the same time, it is clear that Russia is not yet ready for this format at this stage.
He added that the company has offered partners to adapt automotive products for marketplaces and is now awaiting their response.
As a reminder, Lada sales started on Wildberries in the spring. At that time, the Niva Travel, Granta, and Vesta models were presented. The marketplace sees growing demand for online car purchases and strives to become a leader in this area. Previously, Xcite X-Cross 7 crossovers began to be sold on Wildberries.
