Representatives of the Kazakh government have stated that the construction of a new nuclear power plant will take into account a "sanctions clause." This will help avoid the risks of Western sanctions affecting the project's implementation. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar.
Possible political risks will be considered as they arise during the design process. If such risks arise, the contracts with various companies and countries will include a so-called sanctions clause.
According to a government representative, the new nuclear power plant is planned to use the latest technologies and design solutions from manufacturing countries. A special project team will handle this.
