"Kurganmashzavod" (part of the "High-Precision Complexes" holding of the state corporation "Rostec") increased the production of infantry fighting vehicles and landing craft BMD-4M and BMP-3 by 20% in 2024. This was announced by Bekhan Ozdoev, director of the Rostec weapons cluster.
According to him, about 80% of all weapons of the Russian Armed Forces are manufactured at Rostec enterprises. These are flamethrower and artillery systems, UAVs and air defense systems, ammunition and small arms, as well as armored vehicles — infantry fighting vehicles and landing craft.
For nine months of 2024, "Kurganmashzavod" increased the production of BMPs and BMDs by 20% compared to the same period last year.
Ozdoev added that some workshops of "Kurganmashzavod" operate around the clock, which allows the army to fulfill the state defense order in the required time.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec had delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 with "Nakidka" protection kits to the troops. Additional protection includes products for strengthening armor and lattice screens.
