Сергей Когогин: роботизация на одном из заводов КАМАЗа достигла 85%

At the plant producing cabin frames, 117 robots work alongside 223 personnel

At the KAMAZ PJSC cabin frame production plant, there are currently 223 people and 117 robots working. The level of robotization has reached 85%, according to Sergey Kogogin, the company's CEO, at Digital Innopolis Days x AI IN 2024 in Kazan.

According to him, his company is striving for a 95% robotization rate in production.

If you do a simple arithmetic calculation, that's 5850 robots per 10,000 people. Moreover, the turnover rate is close to zero, although the salaries are not supernatural at all, but average for the company.

Kokogin added that the main problem in automating existing production facilities is the reluctance of personnel to work on them. The middle management does not want to acquire new skills, so it is better to create robotic production immediately.
