In August 2024, Wildberries implemented a new monitoring system aimed at combating fake orders and the buyout of товарных запасов (stock reserves) from sellers. According to the company's press service, the system prevented more than 94,000 fake orders in its first month of operation. This allowed 418 sellers to keep their goods available to real buyers.
The system also helps detect suspicious activities using artificial intelligence, which speeds up the identification of fraudulent schemes. In addition, Wildberries effectively combats fake reviews: the moderation system automatically blocks attempts to manipulate ratings and removes dubious reviews.
Over the past year, the company has uncovered more than 100 fraudulent schemes at order pickup points and has passed the information on to law enforcement agencies.
