Two types of "Chekan" armored vehicles have become in demand in Russian units on the front line. They have proven themselves well in combat conditions due to their versatile characteristics.
The first has a spacious troop compartment for accommodating soldiers. In the rear there are convenient, wide-opening doors with loopholes for boarding and disembarking personnel. There are special steps underneath them.
Protected windows are visible in the sides, and there is also the possibility of using small arms. The vehicle received a machine-gun turret with a KPVT and PKT, with the help of which it is possible to provide effective fire support to dismounted troops.
A great advantage is the presence of a television system, thanks to which it is possible to more effectively control the situation around the armored vehicle.
The second version of the "Chekan" is a cargo version. It was created on the basis of the "Ural-4320" and is capable of carrying 6000 kg.
Earlier, a new model of artillery spotting drone "Albatross M5" was spotted on the front line. It will also be useful for reconnaissance in the enemy's deep rear.
