New Russian Gas Turbine Engine AL-41ST-25 with a Capacity of 25 MW Tested

This is the first domestic industrial gas turbine engine of such power and with a design efficiency of up to 40%

AL-41ST-25 was developed at the A. Lyulka Design Bureau and created by specialists from the Ufa enterprise UEC-UMPO. It surpasses existing analogues of engines of the same class in terms of power, efficiency, and time between overhauls.

Its design efficiency is 39.1% with the possibility of a phased increase to 40%. The design efficiency of analogues does not exceed 38.5%. .The engine meets Russian and international environmental standards and will operate for at least 120 thousand hours. Its projected lifespan will increase to 150 thousand hours.

Tested the "heart" for units that provide the necessary pressure for transporting gas through gas pipelines, first at the UEC-UMPO stands.

Later, the AL-41ST-25 was installed at the "Arskaya" compressor station in Tatarstan, where it will undergo pilot industrial operation. During comprehensive 72-hour tests, the prototype engine successfully coped with the tasks.
