Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub spent more than a year in Earth orbit. Deorbiting and landing on Earth went smoothly

According to Roscosmos, at 14:59 Moscow time, the descent module of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft with cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson landed in Kazakhstan, in the area of the city of Zhezkazgan.

Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub spent 374 days in space, which became the longest flight under the ISS program. Ahead of them now are only compatriots Valery Polyakov and Sergei Avdeev, who spent 438 days in 1994–1995 and 380 days in 1998–1999, respectively, orbiting on the Mir station. Tracy Dyson spent 184 days in space. Oleg Kononenko has accumulated a total of 1111 days in five space flights (the most among earthlings), Tracy Dyson has accumulated 373 days in three flights.

Since September 2023, Kononenko and Chub have conducted applied research experiments, received a visiting expedition and four Progress MS cargo ships, and also performed two spacewalks.

Currently, there is a crew of nine people on the ISS.
These are Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner, and Alexander Grebenkin, and NASA astronauts Donald Pettit, Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeannette Epps, Barry Wilmore, and Sunita Williams.

At the end of September, Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov and NASA astronaut Nick Hague will join them. They have already gone into pre-flight quarantine.
