Челябинский электровозоремонтный завод модернизирует оборудование

In 2025, it is planned to purchase 15 machines for the main production

The Chelyabinsk Electric Locomotive Repair Plant (ChERZ, part of Zheldorremmash JSC) continues to upgrade its equipment. The modernization of fixed assets will improve working conditions and increase the efficiency of the production process, the company's press service reported.

This year, 15 procurement activities are planned in the format of an investment program. The company has put into operation band sawing and milling machines, an installation for verifying meters, and a stand for acceptance testing of current collectors.

In addition, the plant has a set of equipment for automatic submerged arc welding of the wheel center (designed to restore the original dimensions of the worn component of the locomotive's undercarriage). The equipment will facilitate the work of welders due to the absence of electrode metal spatter and will automate the workflow.

We strive to create the most comfortable working conditions for production personnel. The acquisition of modern machines, installations, and the replacement of worn-out equipment greatly facilitate labor and make it more efficient. As a result, bottlenecks are eliminated and productivity increases.
Dmitry Katashev, Advisor to the Director of ChERZ

By the end of this year, it is planned to put into operation an installation for surfacing wheelsets to replace the worn-out one. It will reduce repair time and save money on the purchase of new parts.

In 2025, the company will purchase 15 machines for the main production and modernize 12.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Metrovagonmash implemented new equipment of domestic production.
