The Akhtubinsk Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (Astrakhan Region) will complete the construction of a refrigerated fishing trawler for the company "Nord West Fleet" (Murmansk) by the end of this year. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy of the Astrakhan Region.
In addition to the construction of transport, passenger and dredging vessels, Astrakhan enterprises are also involved in the construction of fishing vessels. The Akhtubinsk Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant is currently implementing a contract for the construction of a refrigerated fishing trawler of the ТР446 project for operation in the Barents Sea.
The trawler is planned to be used for the extraction of bioresources using trawls. The width of the vessel is 12.8 m, the draft is 6 m, and the height with the keel is 24 m. The company "Nord West Fleet" (the project customer) has been producing fish products in Murmansk for more than 34 years.
