Russian military forces are using modernized, low-visibility "Kub" kamikaze UAVs from the ZALA Aero group of companies, which are part of the Kalashnikov concern. They continue to demonstrate high efficiency on the front lines, operating as part of reconnaissance and strike complexes with multispectral optoelectronic reconnaissance UAVs, including ZALA 421-16E HD and S350M "Supercam".
The drones deliver high-precision strikes at any time of day on self-propelled artillery units, mortar crews, electronic intelligence systems, UAV command posts, and enemy equipment on the move within a radius of 40 km.
Certain modifications of the "Kub" are equipped with thermal imaging guidance sensors, providing the ability to conduct additional reconnaissance before engaging a target or for possible retargeting or target designation to other kamikaze UAVs.
Tactical and Technical Characteristics of the "Kub" UAV:
- Dimensions — 1210x950x165 mm
- Speed — 80-130 km/h
- Flight duration — 30 minutes
- Payload mass — 3 kg
Earlier, footage appeared on the Web of a devastating strike by an Iskander-M on a Western M270 MLRS. The circular error probable of the 9M723-1 missile did not exceed 17 meters.
