In the last 1.5 years, France has turned out to be the most dependent on Russian uranium among unfriendly countries. This is confirmed by data from Eurostat and the UN Comtrade platform.

Thus, from January 2023 to June 2024, enriched uranium from Russia was purchased by unfriendly France, Germany, South Korea, and the United States. At the same time, 60.5% of uranium supplies (amounting to $428.6 million) to France came from Russia.

Next is South Korea, which imported 33.7% of uranium from the Russian Federation for $603.1 million. The United States was in third place (26.7% for $1.7 billion). Germany purchased 13.4% of Russian uranium (for $97.5 million).

In 2023, Russia became the world leader in uranium enrichment. Rosatom accounted for 36% of the total volume of enriched uranium in the world. Russia ranked fifth in uranium ore production.
