The government has expanded the list of citizens entitled to compensation for the cost of landline telephone communications. The decree, signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on September 6, 2024, introduces new categories of beneficiaries.
Now, the right to compensation for landline telephone communications is granted to children of deceased Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Russia, and full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory. In particular, this applies to minor children of deceased Heroes of Russia, as well as children studying full-time at universities and under the age of 23, and children of deceased Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Russia, and full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory who became disabled before the age of 18.
Previously, this benefit only applied to widows and parents of deceased heroes.
The signed decree introduces changes to the federal law "On the Status of Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, and Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory," adopted in May 2024.
