Over the past three years, cyber fraudsters have stolen and transferred more than 350 billion rubles from Russians abroad. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Danil Filippov, at the session "Digital Sovereignty and Citizen Security: Legal Models" of the Eastern Economic Forum.
According to the latest data, over 350 billion rubles have been stolen and transferred abroad.
Yesterday, a representative of Sberbank announced a figure of 250 billion for just one year, but this figure also takes into account hidden crime, so the actual losses may be higher. The given figure is a forecast.
He also noted that more than 1.5 million IT crimes were registered from 2022 to August 2024.
