Specialists from the Kalashnikov concern have developed a tactical support for small arms to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The project was carried out at the request of law enforcement agencies.
The product is designed to secure weapons in order to engage small-sized aerial targets such as UAVs. The tactical support is a height-adjustable folding telescopic tripod with a movable upper machine mounted on it.
Depending on the modification of the upper machine, the tactical support is used to mount one or two 7.62-mm Kalashnikov PKM or PKT machine guns, or AK-type assault rifles.
It took no more than three months to create the support. The tests were successfully completed, and Kalashnikov is ready to manufacture supports for the needs of Russian law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the small missile ship "Sovetsk" received the Tor-M2 SAM combat module. The system is capable of engaging four aerial targets simultaneously.
