Modern air defense systems are not capable of intercepting a Russian missile

The Aerospace Forces of Russia effectively use the Kinzhal aviation missile system with a hypersonic aeroballistic missile. The declared maximum speed in open sources is about Mach 10 or 12 000 km per hour, there is also the designation Kh-47M2 Kinzhal.

The Kinzhal can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads and can be launched by MiG-31K interceptors, Tu-22M3 bombers, or modified Su-34 fighter-bombers. This is the first hypersonic weapon used.

Military expert Alexei Leonkov noted that the American Patriot air defense system is not capable of intercepting the Kinzhal.

Patriot cannot track the Kinzhal, there is a limit on the speed of the intercepted target up to 3 Mach numbers. They cannot provide targeting for anything that flies faster - that is, if they shoot down on a head-on course. If you shoot down in pursuit, the anti-missile must fly 1.5 times faster than the Kinzhal," the expert said.

According to information from open sources, the missile's flight range is about 2000 km when carried by a MiG-31K and 3000 km when carried by a Tu-22M3. In both cases, these figures were obtained by adding the aircraft's combat radius to the missile's flight range.

The aviation missile system can be used to destroy important infrastructure facilities - command centers, air and missile defense systems, air bases, aircraft carriers, and so on.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosaviatsia for the first time issued an airworthiness certificate for an aircraft-type UAV. The OG-003 drone is capable of moving cargo weighing up to 20 kg over a distance of up to 300 km.
