After the arrest of Pavel Durov, fraudsters came up with a new method of fraud in Telegram. This was reported in Roskachestvo.
Fraudsters, posing as Telegram support, offer users to «save personal data» and transfer it to a «secure resource». To do this, a potential victim is sent a link where they need to fill in the data to log into their Telegram account.
As a result, fraudsters gain access to the user's account with all its contents (photos, video correspondence).
Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the digital expertise center of Roskachestvo, recommended that Telegram users delete all important information from the messenger and carefully exchange data and correspond with unfamiliar people.
Hacker and crypto trader Petr Levashov shared an alternative opinion. He emphasized that deleting correspondence does not matter, the information is stored in the messenger system.
Earlier www1.ru reported that officials and security forces in Russia were ordered to delete correspondence in Telegram.
