Tomsk State University (TSU), together with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, has created a drone and software to accelerate fire extinguishing. This was reported by the press service of the university.
The "Bumblebee" drone drops a special refrigerant directly into the source of ignition. It operates on the basis of special software.
A special drone will allow you to determine the exact coordinates of the fire and send the required amount of refrigerant to the source of the fire. In this context, it is water or water with the addition of surfactants, which, when boiling or in the process of expansion, take heat from the cooled object and, after compression, transfer it to the environment.
The software allows you to accurately calculate the flight path, drop height and the amount of refrigerant required. Fire extinguishing takes place in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
We receive photos, videos and statistics of observations of real fire extinguishing using aviation from specialists of the department. They are testing the software package developed by us for dropping refrigerant, and also provide us with a prepared site for testing our delivery drone - this is very important for us at the moment.
The first launch of the drone is scheduled for September this year. Artificially created fires will be extinguished in a specially designated area.
Earlier www1.ru reported that new equipment for extinguishing fires has appeared in the Orenburg region.
