Russian officials have been instructed to delete work-related chats in Telegram. This was reported by a source of the Telegram channel Baza.

It is claimed that the instruction concerns employees of a number of security agencies, as well as officials of the presidential administration and the government of the Russian Federation. According to the source, the instruction was also addressed to the top leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and some large businessmen.

However, some officials interviewed said that they had not yet received such instructions. They stated that they expect such instructions in the coming days - on Monday or Tuesday.

Earlier, French media reported that French intelligence services would seek to gain access to Telegram correspondence related to criminal communities, as well as sanctioned companies and individuals.
