In Russia, a robotic self-propelled 122-mm gun MTS-15 "Klever" on a tracked chassis has been developed. The howitzer was presented to the general public at the "Army-2024" forum. In the near future, it will be sent for testing in the troops. Bulgarian Military listed the competitors of the Russian self-propelled gun.

MTS-15 "Klever" is a robotic tracked chassis. It is equipped with a Soviet artillery gun D-30 caliber 122 mm. The tasks of this unmanned combat vehicle will be the destruction of enemy manpower and fire weapons.

 In the USA, the military is studying the potential of unmanned artillery systems. One of the notable projects is the unmanned missile system Autonomous Multi-domain Launcher (AML). South Korea is another country investing in unmanned artillery technologies. Hanwha Defense is developing the K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzer.

In Europe, German engineers are considering the possibility of integrating autonomous technologies into the self-propelled artillery unit (SPG) PzH 2000, which is considered one of the most advanced howitzers in the world.
