The Arzamas Machine-Building Plant (AMZ) presented the "Combat" SUV at the "Army-2024" forum, made on the basis of the "Sobol NN". Automotive experts have learned new details about the car.
The sample shown at the forum is a fully functional prototype, not a mock-up. Most of the external elements are made of stamped steel. However, the front and rear fenders are made of composites.
The car has its own body, a load-bearing frame with original side members. However, a number of mounts are unified with the "Sobol NN". In addition, a number of suspension elements were taken from this car. The steering unit is original, with an elongated shaft.
The floor in the cabin is completely flat. The composite frame of the front of the car is easy to remove, which will be useful when repairing the car.
Another interesting thing: the SUV has three bus-type hatches. They are installed on top of the panels and are equipped with a lifting mechanism.
The front panel of the cabin came to the "Combat" from the "Sobol NN". The cabin can be three-row seven-seater, but a five-seater version was presented at the exhibition.
The preliminary price of the car has been announced, it will start from 3.5 million rubles, the production of the "Combat" may begin in 2028.
