Бывший завод Volkswagen в Калуге перезапустили, но что там собирают — неизвестно

Plan for 2024 — production of 27 thousand cars

The "AGR" company (which owns the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg) has restarted automobile production in Kaluga. This was announced by the Deputy Governor of the region, Vladimir Popov. However, it is still unknown which brands and models of cars are being produced at the former Volkswagen plant.

"AGR" started mass production of cars in August and plans to assemble 27 thousand cars by the end of the year.

It should be noted that automotive experts suggested that Chery cars would be assembled at the plant. However, the authorities did not even indirectly confirm this information.

Auto journalist Maxim Kadakov noted that whatever cars are produced at the plant, they will be assembled by large-unit assembly, and the parts will come from China.
