Стало известно, зачем на МКС везут рентгеновский спектрометр СПИН-X1-МВН

A three-year experiment with his participation will cover 84% of the celestial sphere in the X-ray range of wavelengths

A Soyuz rocket has been assembled at Baikonur for the launch of the Russian Progress MS-28 space truck to the ISS. The rocket launch is scheduled for August 15 at 06:20 Moscow time.

2621 kg of cargo is being sent into orbit: equipment, fuel, nitrogen, clothing, water and food for the crew. Also, Progress MS-28 is carrying packages for the Aseptic, Biodegradation, Virtual, Endurance, Lazma, Neuroimmunity and Photobioreactor experiments to the cosmonauts.

Cosmonauts will also receive an acoustic sensor for recording forced exhalation noises in cosmonauts and a complex for measuring the speed of the pulse wave and assessing endothelial function for the new scientific experiments "Forced Exhalation" and "Endothelium."

Among the cargo is the SPIN-X1-MVN X-ray spectrometer, created at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. During a spacewalk, it will be installed on the external surface of the Zvezda module. Scientists will conduct a periodic almost complete survey of the celestial sphere (84%) in the X-ray range of wavelengths every 72 days for three years (a total of 15 such surveys are planned).
