The UK authorities have expanded sanctions against enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Belarus and a number of officials, the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom reported.
The UK is imposing sanctions on four individuals and three legal entities from Belarus.
The sanctions were extended to the Research Institute of Electronic Computing Machines (NIIEVM), "StankoGomel" and "Rukhservomotor". The blacklist includes former and current employees of the Belarusian penitentiary system, including Denis Tolstenkov, Andrei Palchik, Filipp Shturchanka and Alexei Lazarenko. In July, the European Union authorities imposed sanctions against 28 Belarusian security officials, judges and journalists.
The StankoGomel plant produces modern vertical and horizontal machining centers with CNC types BYVER, SGV, BYHOR and SGH. Employees of "Rukhservomotor" assemble linear motors, laser machines, and components for the drive. NIIEVM creates secure computers, transistor amplifiers, video monitors and display devices.
