Repair work will begin at Leningradsky Railway Station in connection with its integration into the unified Moscow transport system. The building will be closed from August 11, 2024. This was reported by the press service of the company "Russian Railways" (RZD).
The Leningradsky Railway Station building is planned to have its forecourt improved, premises re-equipped and the facade renovated.
All services will continue to operate at Yaroslavsky and Kazansky railway stations. A number of measures have been taken to achieve this:
- 543 additional seats have been added at Yaroslavsky Railway Station, and 270 at Kazansky.
- An additional 15 ticket offices for long-distance trains have been opened at Yaroslavsky Railway Station.
- New places for passengers with limited mobility have appeared at Kazansky Railway Station, with 17 more available.
- 160 additional automatic storage lockers have been placed at Yaroslavsky Railway Station.
- Mobile suburban ticket offices have been created between the buildings of Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky railway stations.
- 9 additional places for passengers with limited mobility have been set up at Yaroslavsky Railway Station.
The Leningradsky Railway Station's storage lockers will continue to operate until 00:00 on August 10. Luggage can be picked up until 1:00 on August 11.
It is worth noting that all suburban and long-distance trains will continue to depart and arrive on schedule. However, the access routes to the platforms have been changed. Details can be found on the RZD website.
All parking spaces at Leningradsky Railway Station will be unavailable during the repair work.
