AvtoVAZ will start production of the new LADA Aura car in September 2024, said Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Alikhanov noted that among domestic brands, AvtoVAZ returned the Largus model to production, and in September it will begin producing the LADA Aura. Putin tested this model on the M-11 highway.
The minister added that production at the former sites of foreign car концернов in St. Petersburg, Kaluga and Moscow regions has been successfully restarted.
On Wednesday, August 7, the President of the Russian Federation took part in a meeting with the Cabinet. At the event, he praised LADA Aura.

The car, based on the Vesta model, was first introduced in the summer of 2023. It offers rear passengers an additional 25 cm of space, and the interior is made of natural leather of Russian production. Lada Aura is equipped with a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 122 horsepower and an automatic transmission.
