Russian BMP-3s at the forefront have begun to be equipped with 4S24 dynamic protection modules. Among the military, these devices have been nicknamed "Cactus."
According to the Telegram channel @milinfolive, at least the second BMP-3 with this dynamic protection kit has appeared on the front line during battles, which already means that the existence of 4S24 ERA modules on this type of armored vehicle is not an isolated case.
But it still doesn't indicate any mass equipping of BMPs with dynamic protection, which could increase their survivability against FPV drones, RPGs, and ATGMs. We hope that the movement towards equipping infantry armored vehicles with ERA systems will continue and develop.
The 4S24 "Cactus" complex protects armored vehicles from any direction of fire from monoblock grenades and ATGMs that penetrate up to 500 mm of steel armor.
Earlier, military expert Evgeny Mikhailov told www1.ru that Russian long-range R-37M missiles will become a serious threat to F-16 fighters on the front line.
