The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ), a military-industrial holding, has won a tender for the overhaul of Ukrainian-made AI-20 gas turbine engines for Yakutskenergo. This was reported by the holding's press service.
Overhaul and maintenance of gas turbine engines manufactured by Motor Sich and Zorya-Mashproekt is one of the important areas of KMZ's activity.
KMZ has its own testing complex of 12 stands of various capacities. The work is carried out under the supervision of the military representative office of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
AI-20 engines are used as a drive for the PAES-2500 mobile automated gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 2500 kW. The power plant, which runs on natural and associated petroleum gas, supplies electricity to industrial and domestic facilities during peak loads. It can be delivered to the place of operation by railway, road, water and air transport.
