Russia has developed the latest drone "Osoed", designed to intercept other drones. The novelty is equipped with a special mechanism that shoots a net from a distance of several meters, covering enemy equipment.
"Osoed" was developed on the basis of an FPV-class drone with a first-person view of the operator. The developers note that the drone is capable of catching up with almost any drone, remaining незамеченным when approaching from behind or above.
The Russian device is capable of speeds up to 140 km/h, and the charge of the battery pack is enough for 24 minutes of flight. The working range is 4–5 km, the maximum height is 5–6 km.
The net is fired automatically at a certain distance, which usually varies in the range of 5–6 meters. After the enemy UAV falls into the trap, the operation of its rotors is blocked, and it falls to the ground. The device developer is the Oko Design Bureau.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the atomic underwater missile carrier "Karelia" will complete repairs in 2025. The boat will be in service with the Russian Navy until 2038.
