Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) conducted a joint air patrol. Russian Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters also participated in the event.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified that an air group consisting of Tu-95MS "Bear" strategic missile carriers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Chinese H-6K strategic bombers carried out air patrols over the waters of the Bering and Chukchi Seas, as well as the northern part of the Pacific Ocean.
During the flight, Russian and Chinese crews worked out issues of interaction at all stages of air patrol in a new area of joint operations. Fighter aviation cover was provided by Su-30SM and Su-35S aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
During the patrol, the aircraft did not violate the airspace of other states, acting strictly in accordance with the provisions of international law.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian military personnel were armed with "Drone Guns" to combat enemy drones. The effective firing range is up to 40 meters.
