Installation of control and management systems for the reactor plant has begun at Unit 1 of the Akkuyu NPP, which is under construction in Turkey (Mersin Province). The equipment was manufactured under the supervision of specialists from Rosatom Automated Control Systems JSC. This was reported by the press service of Rosatom State Corporation.
The reactor control and management system is the most important complex of technical means that receives and processes information from sensors located, among other places, in the reactor core.
According to him, the data obtained is processed by upper-level automation tools, providing NPP operators with information on the safe operation of the power unit.
According to the corporation's press service, the first 11 pieces of equipment have been installed in the reactor building. Next, the nuclear scientists will install a vertical stand necessary for commissioning works before the power unit is launched. The next stage is the installation of equipment for the executive part of the reactor control and protection system.
