LADA Iskra and LADA e-Niva cars were nominated for the "Best Industrial Design of Russia" award. Russians participated in the creation of the appearance of the cars, no foreign specialists were involved.
Note that AvtoVAZ continues to actively test LADA Iskra. 28 cars will be assembled during the summer and autumn. Their resource testing will take place, including at the training ground in Sosnovka. Thus, VAZ employees are actively preparing for the start of mass production of cars, which will begin at the beginning of next year.
As for the electric "Niva", it is likely that this prototype is not planned for mass production. The thing is that the car has a very small power reserve, only 175 kilometers.
