Mobile operator MTS has equipped the M-12 Vostok highway (Moscow-Kazan) with telecom infrastructure, the company's press service reported.
The remaining few LTE 1800 standard base stations have appeared on the 810 km long highway.
Recently, MTS connected the remaining few base stations out of a total of 177 base stations, which provide voice communication and mobile Internet to both the highway itself and the multifunctional service areas, where gas stations, parking lots, recreation areas, cafes and shops are located.
It is worth noting that traffic on the M-12 Vostok highway (Moscow-Kazan) was opened at the end of December 2023. MTS began construction of base stations in September last year, before the official opening of the highway. The launch of the telecom infrastructure was carried out with the support of the state and other telecom operators.
MTS plans to fine-tune uninterrupted communication on the Dyurtyuli-Achit section of the M-12 highway.
Earlier www1.ru reported that SberMobile will enter Crimea.
