Kurgan Machine-Building Plant PJSC (part of Rostec) sent the first batch of TM-140 tracked all-terrain vehicles to Chukotka, manufactured to order for the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The rescue agency will use the vehicles to perform special tasks in Arctic rescue centers.
TM-140 tests in the Far North were carried out two years ago. Then the equipment confirmed all the characteristics laid down by the engineers.
The all-terrain vehicle coped with off-road driving, its components and assemblies worked reliably at low temperatures. The result of these tests was the conclusion of a contract between Kurganmashzavod and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
