"Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Isakov" will be launched by the "Northern Shipyard" tentatively in the third quarter of 2024. This was reported to IA "TASS" by two different sources in the defense industry. There has been no official confirmation or official refutation of this information yet.
According to one of the sources, "some postponement with this event is not related to the plant".
Earlier, almost a year ago, in August 2023, the General Director of PJSC SZ "Northern Shipyard" Igor Orlov told "TASS" that the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Isakov" is fully ready. Orlov then noted that it would be launched in early 2024.
The Navy already includes three frigates of Project 22350: the lead ship of the project, "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov", as well as "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Kasatonov" and "Admiral Golovko". All of them can operate with Onyx and Kalibr anti-ship missiles, and after modernization, with Zircon hypersonic missiles.
