The Russian Armed Forces have the self-propelled anti-tank missile system "Chrysanthemum-S" at their disposal. It is designed to destroy promising and modern tanks, including those equipped with dynamic protection (DZ), low-flying aerial targets, small-tonnage surface targets, and enemy manpower, even in difficult meteorological conditions.
The complex includes a combat vehicle, technical control equipment, 9M123 and 9M123F missiles with a high-explosive warhead and a tandem cumulative warhead.
The "Chrysanthemum-S" is equipped with a combined missile weapon control system consisting of two independent guidance channels: semi-automatic in an information laser beam and automatic radar. This allows the crew to engage two targets simultaneously. Ammunition is launched from a stationary position.
Tactical and technical characteristics of "Chrysanthemum-S"
- Maximum firing range — up to 6000 m
- Armor penetration behind ERA — 1100-1200 mm
- Type of control system — automatic radar, semi-automatic laser beam
- Types of warheads — cumulative; high-explosive
- Number of missiles in the ammunition rack — 15 pcs
- Loading and reloading of the launcher — automatic
- Selection of missiles by warhead type — automated
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian engineers studied the elements of the Storm Shadow missile control system. They dismantled the control equipment, including servomotors, blocks, rudders, and various structural elements.
