Теперь с российским чипом: карты «Тройка» нового поколения уже доступны пассажирам

The new "brains" of the card have three times more memory

New generation "Troika" cards based on a domestically developed chip have appeared in the ticket offices and vending machines of the Moscow Metro. This was reported by the press service of the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.

The memory capacity of the new chip is three times greater than the previous version. Its development was carried out in Russia.

There are already five thousand cards with the new microchip on sale. Thanks to the new chip, we will be able to introduce additional tariff solutions for passengers in the future and develop a ticket system based on "Troika" in the regions.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport

It is worth recalling that work on creating a domestic chip began in 2019 at the "Mikron Security Printing" plant. The first batch of new generation "Troika" cards was transferred for testing in the metro at the end of December 2023. After successful tests, the card went on sale.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a virtual "Troika" transport card has started operating in Moscow.
