The first domestic universal amphibious assault ship-helicopter carrier (UDC) of Project 23900 "Ivan Rogov" will be ready for sea trials by the end of 2027. This was reported to IA "TASS" by a source in the shipbuilding industry.
The helicopter carrier is being built at the "Zaliv" shipyard in Kerch for the Pacific Fleet.
Work on the order is proceeding according to the approved schedule, without any critical failures. We are confident that the ship will be delivered to the customer in the fall of 2028.
The source noted that, in addition to basing a group of naval helicopters, an integrated control center for reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the helicopter type, as well as underwater drones and unmanned boats, will operate on the UDC.
UDCs are capable of carrying a group of heavy helicopters for various purposes and transporting about a thousand marines. They are equipped with a dock for boats providing landing, as well as transporting armored vehicles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian military boats "Raptor" were proposed to be armed with MLRS systems. The arsenal will also include a new gyro-stabilized remotely controlled combat module "Narwhal" with a large-caliber "Kord" machine gun, two 7.62-millimeter machine guns, passive jamming systems, and laser radiation detection.
