Ilya Rashkin, CEO and co-owner of Electromobiles Manufacturing Rus (EM-rus), said during the SPIEF that a hybrid car based on the UAZ Profi may appear in Russia. The car is scheduled to be produced in 2026.
Work is underway to create a hybrid power plant. It is claimed that the car will have a large range, but no other details of the project are known.
Note that this will not be the first transformation of the Profi truck into an electric car. Last year, EVM Pro cars based on the Profi began to be assembled. However, they cannot boast an impressive range - the manufacturer promises only 300 km, but this is still more than the electric Niva.
