Russia has produced the multipurpose artillery platform "Capricorn-1". The development is being carried out by the private arms company BRT.
In the latest version, the "Capricorn-1" has mounting holes in the legs for fixing the gun in position with improvised means, grease fittings for pumping lubricant into the nodes with rubbing parts, and the possibility of mounting a bracket for optical sights has been added.
In addition, the manufacturers have increased the supporting area of the rotating "head", improved the horizontal guidance lock and increased the strength and rigidity of the "knee" joints. The horizontal guidance unit can be mounted on either the right or left side.
The device and compact dimensions of the "Capricorn-1" allow guns to be installed indoors, in the back of cars, and on any solid ground.
The manufacturer notes that the platform can be equipped with 1-3 launch rails BM-21 "Grad", "Tornado-G", as well as a 23-mm anti-aircraft gun 2a14, a 30-mm automatic gun 2a72 and other small-caliber guns.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian company "Laboratory PPSh" developed the "Krechet" sight for the "Utes" and "Kord" machine guns. The sight will be used to destroy low-visibility high-speed strike unmanned boats in the Black Sea.
