Marines of the Pacific Fleet received a modernized "flying" T-80BVM tank (produced by the Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant). The combat vehicle is equipped with additional protection against anti-tank missiles (ATGMs) and FPV drone strikes.
The protection is factory-made against ATGMs and FPV drones, we have навесная dynamic protection on the sides, also filled with тротил, we have the same dynamic, factory-made protection on the turret.
According to the serviceman, a visor was welded on top of the tank to protect it from drones. The updated version of the "flying" T-80BVM is distinguished by its maneuverability. The tank is less noisy due to its 1250 hp gas turbine engine. The combat vehicle moves at a speed of up to 70 km/h.
Among the advantages of the T-80BVM is the presence of a night vision device. Thanks to this, tank crews can perform combat missions in the dark.
The tank hits targets with shells and missiles, using a multi-channel sight for guidance with a laser beam. At the same time, the T-80BVM is inaccessible to enemy tanks. The range of direct fire is up to 5 km and over 10 km in навеса mode from closed firing positions.
